This week, Tom Verner, Managing Director of The Momentum Group, was in the privileged position of meeting Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The visit came as part of a Trade NI business delegation to the launch of the trade body’s Vision 2030 at the Irish Embassy in Westminster. The plan has a strategic focus on job creation and making Northern Ireland a sustainable, competitive and global economy.

Innovation is a key priority for helping local companies increase their competitiveness. The delegation was encouraged by the feedback that Northern Ireland companies are ‘punching above their weight’ and that we are well and truly open for business.

Performing well in several key industry sectors such as technology, construction and manufacturing, Northern Ireland has also been establishing itself as an international hub for cyber security research and innovation, in part illustrated by the work at CSIT, the UK’s Innovation and Knowledge Centre for cyber security at Queen’s University Belfast.
