Keeping it local this Christmas

In the spirit of giving this Christmas, and instead of sending cards to our clients and partners, we have taken the decision to make generous donations to both our local independent foodbank Storehouse North Down and the Northern Ireland Hospice. Managing Director of The Momentum Group, Tom Verner said the donations were “in recognition of the fantastic work these charities were doing for the local community in extremely difficult times.”

Margaret Bailie, Chairperson of Storehouse North Down said; “From the beginning of February to the end of October this year, we gave out hampers to families in need to the value of £74,000 helping over 3,000 adults and children. Christmas is a challenging enough time financially for many families, never mind Christmas during a pandemic. Donations such as this from Momentum help us continue to help those most vulnerable at this time and we are so grateful to Tom and his team.”

Throughout the pandemic, charities have suffered an enormous financial hit and the level of donations has plummeted throughout 2020 as events that are so vital to fundraising have been cancelled, so finding a way to support their vital work has never been more important.
